About The Author

Dr. Jin Funn Chuang M.D.

Graduated from Department of Medicine at Niigata University, Japan, Director of First Children's Hospital, Chair of Women's Health Management Society, Wellness Guru and Author of "Healthy Eating" column in Lecture Magazine, Author of "How to Eat Healthiest", "How to Eat Healthy and Sleep Well", "Intestinal Revolution: Lactic Acid Bacteria", "Eating Treasure", "Eating Treasure", and other books.

Introduction

I remember the time when I welcomed my first child in New York, and my mother, Dr. Shu Chi Chuang, along with my grandmother, journeyed all the way from Japan to offer traditional herbal remedies, including sesame oil, rice wine, and various herbal ingredients, to aid in my postpartum recovery. Their love and heartwarming effort and the comforting aroma of sesame oil chicken remain etched in my memory.

As Dr. Shu Chi Chuang's daughter, I am immensely fortunate to have been exposed to the traditional methods of postpartum care and to understand the profound benefits they offer. Thanks to this proper postpartum care, even after having two daughters of my own, I am able to maintain excellent physical health and vitality. Many of my friends often say that I appear much younger than my actual age—a testament to the importance of correct postpartum care.

To extend support to more women in need of postpartum care, my mother, Dr. Shu Chi Chuang, established Windmill Wellness in 1995, which my husband and I have had the privilege to oversee. Assuming this role has been a tremendous honor for me, serving not only as an expression of gratitude to my mother for guiding me onto the path of medicine but also as a responsibility to uphold and promote her teachings.
